3. Shipping Times
All Murano glass pieces are handcrafted and may require different production times depending on the technique, availability and specific item.
Estimated timelines:
-
Ready-to-ship items — “Buy It Now”: ready to ship in 2–5 business days.
-
Made-to-order / pre-order items — “Reserve It Now”: ready to ship in approximately 15 to 30 days, depending on the product.
-
Custom or personalised items: timing is communicated individually.
All lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Delays caused by couriers, customs procedures, holidays, weather conditions, force majeure events or other external factors are not attributable to Officine di Murano 1295 Srl.
4. Product Availability, Stock Status and Made-to-Order Items
For technical reasons related to catalogue management, some products on the website may display the wording “in stock”.
However, the actual availability and delivery timeframe of each item is determined by the purchase option shown on the product page and by the delivery estimate displayed below the relevant purchase button.
Products fall into two categories:
a) Ready-to-Ship Items — “Buy It Now”
Items presented with the button “Buy It Now” are available for immediate dispatch. The estimated delivery time is generally 2–5 business days and is shown on the product page.
b) Made-to-Order / Pre-Order Items — “Reserve It Now”
If a product displays “Reserve It Now”, it is not physically ready for immediate dispatch, even if the page shows a generic stock label used by the system.
These items are handcrafted upon order, and the production and delivery timeframe is clearly indicated below the button.
By placing an order for a made-to-order or pre-order item, the Customer expressly acknowledges and accepts the indicated production time.
Given the artisanal nature of Murano glass manufacturing, production times may vary slightly. Such variations do not constitute a breach of contract or non-performance by the Company.
5. Couriers Used
We work with leading international couriers selected for reliability and safety, including:
-
UPS
-
FedEx
-
DHL
-
TNT
-
Poste Italiane / EMS, for selected destinations
The courier is chosen based on destination, parcel size, service availability and the nature of the item.
6. Insured Shipping and Protective Packaging
All shipments include insured shipping and shock-resistant packaging.
Murano glass items are packed with professional-grade protection, which may include:
-
shock-absorbent materials
-
double-boxing when needed
-
secure internal padding
-
fragile labels
Despite these precautions, courier handling may occasionally cause damage. Transport damage is covered by insurance only if reported within the required timeframe and supported by the documentation listed below.
7. Delivery and Customer Responsibility Upon Receipt
Upon delivery, the Customer is responsible for checking the condition of the parcel.
If the parcel appears visibly damaged, the Customer should, whenever possible, accept the delivery with reservation or report the issue directly to the courier at the time of delivery.
In case of damage, the Customer must notify us within 48 hours and provide:
-
clear photos of the damaged item
-
photos of the exterior packaging
-
photos of the internal packaging
-
order number
-
recipient details
Without these elements, we may be unable to initiate or complete the insurance claim.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
8. Missed Delivery Attempts and Unclaimed Parcels
If the courier attempts delivery and the Customer is unavailable, the parcel may be held at a local pick-up point or returned to us.
If the parcel is returned due to non-collection, refusal of delivery, incorrect address or lack of cooperation with the courier:
-
return shipping costs may be charged to the Customer
-
a second shipment may be arranged once any additional fees have been paid
9. Address Modification
The shipping address can be changed only before the order is dispatched.
Once the shipping label has been issued or the parcel has been handed to the courier:
-
address changes may not be possible
-
additional courier fees may apply
-
delivery delays may occur
10. Order Tracking
Once the order is shipped, the Customer will receive:
-
a tracking number
-
a direct tracking link
-
any additional delivery instructions, if necessary
Tracking usually becomes active within 12–24 hours after the shipping label is created.
11. Duties, Import Taxes and Customs
For orders shipped to the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, duties and import taxes are included in the product price whenever available at checkout. These orders are shipped with the appropriate customs documentation, including product description, HS code and country of origin.
Our goal is to provide a clear landed cost and avoid unexpected customs charges upon delivery.
For Switzerland, GCC countries and other selected international destinations, duties, import taxes or local charges may apply and may be the responsibility of the Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing before the order is placed.
Customs authorities or carriers may occasionally reassess duties, taxes or fees based on local regulations, product classification, declared value or customs procedures. Officine di Murano 1295 Srl is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or local import procedures.
12. Product Classification and Country of Origin
